Mental Health Resource is a small charity with part time and full time members of staff. Mental Health Resource use the 6 ways of wellbeing to help Service Users on their journey to recovery from mental illness. We help to tackle issues surrounding mental illness in West Kent and statistics on mental health show that our work is sadly needed now more than ever. Mental Health Resource believe in improved mental wellbeing for everyone. The support of a trained Independent Mental Health Advocate (IMHA) can help. Sometimes patients who are being detained feel unable to ask questions or get information. When a person is detained under the Mental Health Act it can be distressing. The project is currently part funded by the Brook Trust and BBC Children in Need.

Reachout Youth is a free support service run by Mental Health Resource for young people aged 13-19 who are experiencing emotional or mental health difficulties. By joining a Reachout group you’ll meet new people and make friends, gaining peer support and providing support to others. Mental Health Resource run an online & telephone support community service called Reachout. Mental Health Resource runs 'The Hub', our vibrant wellbeing centre in the heart of Tunbridge Wells, Kent, where people can access wellbeing activities and a safe space to talk for as long as they need. To access one of Mental Health Resource's projects, you can either be referred by a GP or other local service, or self-refer by downloading one of our referral forms. Mental Health Resource uses feedback from users of the mental health system to improve peoples’ lives and situations.
